desperado, why don't come to your senses
you've been ridin fences for so long now
oh you're got your reasons
these things that are pleasing you can hurt you somehow
don't you draw the queen of diamonds boy
she'll beat you if she's able
you know the queen of hearts is always your best bet
now it seems to me some fine things
have been laid upon your table
but you only want the ones that you can't get
desperado,oh,you ain't gettin no younger
your pain and your hunger
they're driving you home
freedom,oh,freedom well that's just some people talking
you 're prisners walking though this world all along
don't your feet get cold in the winter time
the sky won't snow and the sun won't shine
it's hard to tell the night time from the day
you're losin' all your highs and lows
ain't it funny how the feel'in goes away.
desperado, why don't come to your senses
come down from your fences
open the gate it may be raining
butthere's a rainhow above you
you'd better let somebody love you
(let somebody love you)
you'd better let somebody love you
before it's too late
House of Rising Sun
The Animals
There is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God I know I'm one
My mother was a tailor
She sewed my new bluejeans
My father was a gamblin' man
Down in New Orleans
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a drunk
Oh mother tell your children
Not to do what I have done
Spend your lives in sin and misery
In the House of the Rising Sun
Well, I got one foot on the platform
The other foot on the train
I'm goin' back to New Orleans
To wear that ball and chain
Well, there is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God I know I'm one
)。Highwayman
Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson
I was a highwayman. Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive.
I was a sailor. I was born upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide.
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still.
I was a dam builder across the river deep and wide
Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below
They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound
But I am still around..I'll always be around..and around and around and
around and around
I fly a starship across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again and again and again and again..
