下面开始点评啊。俺就是在那个，老鹰乐队典藏尊爵精选里面听到这首歌的。这首歌的结构稍微有点像老鹰乐队的 Desperado，开头只是用了钢琴伴奏，伴随着很好听的独唱，唱了一会儿之后随着感情的发展在引入鼓来加强节奏，而且两首歌都有一些叙事的成分。不过，最后的胜地的名字似乎不如亡命之徒响。俺觉着吧，the last resort 的内涵好像稍微深一点。虽然俺听外文歌一向不懂歌词，不过从俺能听懂的那些字节来看，这首歌的主题是不是可以归结为“人类为了满足自己无尽的欲望而去进行各种活动破坏地球”？ 当然关于这首歌的主题，网上也有很多讨论。百度eagles吧上面，就有各种各样的说法。有说最后的胜地是指纽约的，有说这首歌是在质疑上帝、宣扬爱与和平的，也有说这是在表达对美洲古老文明的向往和惋惜的，反正是中说纷纭。总起来看，这首歌是含义很深，并且很容易让人联想到宗教方面。虽然eagles喜欢在歌里反映现实（尤其是美国社会的问题，比如加州旅馆就被认为是这样），不过俺总认为这首歌说的不只是美国，完全可以推广到全世界。这个其实随便理解就可以，每个人心目中有每个人的哈姆雷特。
这首歌确实是很好听——即使俺完全不理解歌曲的深意。大家有空了可以听一听。
